Why is my Lutron dimmer switch not working? ›

Check to make sure the lighting load is installed or connected properly. The dimmer must have a lighting load to operate properly. FASS tab must be pressed in in order for the dimmer to operate. Lastly, check to make sure the dimmer is wired to match installation instructions.

Smart Hub or Smart Hub PRO system: up to 75 total wireless devices (Caséta dimmers / switches, Pico remote controls, Caséta motion sensors, and shades) are supported per system. Smart Hub or Smart Hub PRO counts as one device.

It's important to remember that Lutron is a tech product. The systems will age and will require maintenance by a specialist. ❎ Poor design by installers- what we mean is in some properties just don't have a call for a bespoke lighting layout then fitting a high end lighting system like Lutron will be too much.

Lutron's Caséta Wireless devices offer smart lighting at the switch for seamless control of your existing bulbs. Caséta dimmers, switches, fan controls, shades, and smart plugs can be controlled locally (standalone) through physical button presses of the device or by pairing them to a Pico wireless remote.

ok the answer to your question is yes it is possible for the switch to have gone bad.

Perform a network reset on the Caséta Smart Hub by pressing and holding the black button on the back of the hub for 20 seconds until the LED light bar on the hub starts to flash. Immediately release the button once the hub starts flashing.

In the Lutron app, you can allow Caséta to use your GPS location to turn the lights on before you arrive home and turn them off automatically when you leave.

A hub is required if you wish to monitor or operate your Caséta products via a smart device or to integrate your system with other connected products such as smart speakers and thermostats.

Press and hold ON and LOWER until a status light starts flashing on the dimmer. Hold the LOWER button until the LED stops dimming down or turns off entirely.

Step 1: Triple tap any button (except raise / lower) on the Hybrid Keypad. DO NOT release after third tap.
