MORNING CALL, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16, 1986 DEATHS W.A. Humphries steel firm executive William A. Humphries 66, of 1783 W. Union Bethlehem, died Tuesday in his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Congetta (Ronca) Humphries.

He was an executive for Bethlehem Steel Corp. when he retired in 1973 after 32 years of service. In 1952, he began working in Nassau, the Bahamas, as vice president, comptroller, and director of various subsidiary companies dealing in raw materials trade, shipping, and ance. He was named assistant ager of operations in 1970, the post he held until retiring. Humphries worked in real estate with Cushman Wakefield in Philadelphia, and from 1976 to 1980 served as a real estate advisor in Conrail's New York office.

Born in Delhi, N.Y., he was a son of the late William A. and Gertrude Whitney (Young) Humphries. From 1942 to 1946, he served as an officer with the Air Transport Command in Brazil, Africa, and the United States. As a Reserve Air Force major, he was active until 1953 with the 2273rd Selective Service Squadron. Surviving with his widow are a son, William A.

III, of New York City, a daughter, Marilyn L. of Salem, a brother, Robert W. of Delhi, N.Y., and a sister, Ruth H. Steele of Oneonta, N.Y. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.

Morris Ill Charles A. Morris III, 35, of Anza, formerly of Upper Black Eddy, died April 11, 1986. Coroner William Dykes of Riverside, Calif. ruled the death voluntary from a gunshot wound to the head. He was the husband of Jacqueline Morris.

He was a self-employed building contractor in Anza, Calif. Born in Easton, he was a son of Margaret (Christy) Morris of Ottsville and the late Charles A. Morris Jr. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving with his wife and mother, are two daughters, Michelle and Kelly, both at home; a son, Ethan at home; four sisters, Susan Davis of Allentown, Judy Johnson of Kansas City, Sylvia Stahler of Richlandtown and Shirley Neuschwander of Sciota; paternal grandmother, Mrs.

Carlisle Stephen Celia Jr. Verna M. Carlisle, 96, of 2210 Lehigh Parkway North, formerly of West Hartford, died Tuesday in her home. She taught at the Oxford School for Girls, West Hartford, for 37. years until retiring in 1965.

Before that, she taught in New Britain, New Castle, Maine, and in one-room school houses in Northern Maine. Born in Patten, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Burleigh) Carlisle. Surviving is a niece, Jean, wife of Frank J. Yourga, with whom she resided. Charles W. Naugle Charles W. Naugle, 88, of Wapwallopen R.1, Luzerne County, died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was the husband of the late Ada (Tudgay) Naugle. He worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corp.

for 25 years until retiring in 1966. He also worked at the ScoutonLee Lumber Nantico*ke, and the Truesdale Colliery and Glen Alden Coal Nantico*ke, for several years. Born in Trucksville, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late George and Lucy (Bryand) Naugle. He was an Army veteran of World War I. Weir ruled the death a suicide. Madle was a clothing presser for Phoenix Clothes Co. in Allentown for 35 years until retiring in 1980. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary (Misbuechler) Madle. He was a corporal in the Army during World War II.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Dora Rosenthal. She was a member of the Temple Beth El, 17th and Hamilton streets, Allentown. He also worked at Alpo Pet Foods in Allentown until retiring in 1980. Born in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late George and Viola Reed. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Easton, and was a former secretary of the church council.

Gauge Division of Ametek Inc. in Sellersville for 40 years retiring in 1982. Born in Coatesville, Chester County, he was a son of the late Akiton and Anastazia (Marchewka) Wolownik. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Sellersville.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was on the honor roll of the Sellersville Fire Co. and was past captain of the fire police, Sellersville. Born in Long Run, Carbon County, he was a son of the late Adam and Gertrude (Sigley) Kunkle. He was an Army veteran of World War II. John Denblaker John Denblaker, 80, of 331 Chamber Phillipsburg, died Saturday in Warren Hospital. He was a drill floor employee at Ingersoll-Rand Phillipsburg, until retiring. He was born in Paterson, N.J. Surviving are nieces. Services will be at 2 p.m.

He was the husband of Thelma R. (Beahm) Bozilesky. He was a foreman in the blast furnace at Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 33 years before retiring two years ago. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Harry and Mary Bozilesky.

Surviving with his widow a are a son, Michael with the U.S. Army at Ft. Bliss, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Leonard Roman of Bethlehem and Mrs. Val Sochanski of Allentown, and I three grandchildren.

He was the husband of the late Pauline (Jacobs) Sigley. He was a truckdriver for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 31 years before retiring in 1971. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late William and Cula (Sterner) Sigley. Surviving are two sons, Wesley A.
