My journey as class president in university has been both dynamic and rewarding experience marked by leadership, responsibility, and a commitment to serving the interests of fellow students. Here are some of the key roles and responsibilities I had:1. Communication Liaison:Acted as a bridge of communication between the students and the university administration and staff. conved students' concerns, questions, and feedback.2. Academic Advocate:Represented academic interests of the class by discussing curriculum issues, course scheduling ( restructuring of Sessional timetable) with professors and department heads.3. Organizer of Class Activities:Planned and coordinated class-related events (such as SPSS training), meetings(make up classes) and social activities, fostering a sense of community among classmates.4. Conflict Resolution:Mediated conflicts or disputes among classmates, promoting a harmonious and respectful learning environment.5. Information Sharing: Shared important academic deadlines, announcements, and university updates with classmates to ensure everyone stays informed.6. Represented Classmate:Voiced out the concerns and interests of their class or program. As my tenure as class president comes to an end, I carry with me the memories of our shared successes and the resilience that defines our class.

Summer is here. It is time to relax and refresh yourself for the upcoming year. For rising juniors, it is also a great time to start thinking about what type of college you would like to attend. Here are a few things to consider: 1. What size school are you thinking about? Maybe you prefer a smaller school versus a larger school. 2. What location and setting would you like? Would you prefer to be in a big city or a more rural area. Beach or mountains? 3. Would you prefer to stay in state or go out of state? If you go out of state can you drive to it or will you need to fly? Is it close to an airport? 4. What type of school? Liberal Arts, research university or maybe a more technical school. 5. What type of campus life are you looking for? Sports oriented, extracurricular activities, diversity, Greek life? There are many factors that come into play when choosing your school. The sooner you begin this process, the less stress you will have later. Jump in! #collegeapplicationprocess #collegeapplications #collegecounseling #choosingacollege

On May 19th I received an honorary doctorate in humanities from @kingscollegepa and delivered the commencement address to 418 graduates. 😳I’ve been unpacking this experience ever since. I don’t exactly have the words to fully describe what it was like for me, other than beautiful and mind-blowing. Writing the address forced me to closely examine what brought me to that stage, how my path has been full of twists and turns and things I thought I was in charge of, but clearly was not.I imagine that’s the best and funniest part of this whole human experience-you get to make choices, but really, you don’t know how all the choices will fit together until they do, and even then, you probably don’t have a clue what’s next. This honor was bestowed because of the work I’ve done through Fork Over Love. At first I didn’t think I could accept it because Fork’s success is the result of SO many people. But then I realized that was exactly why I did need to accept- to plant a tiny seed of hope and share what happens when we all work for the common good. There’s a really powerful story behind this organization and it’s all about the power of community and TRUST. I think one of the greatest responsibilities I have here is making sure that story is told, making sure we treat each other with love, and making sure that love becomes something we are not so afraid of sharing. If it’s a word you don’t like to say out loud, start by sharing food and see what happens next. ♥️https://lnkd.in/ezpbUjDd
