I got my new S24 Ultra a couple days ago, and I'm having to re-log in to every single bleeping app! Did I do something wrong when I used "Smart Switch"? TIA

You need to use samsung wallet or Google wallet or a password app to keep passwords when moving phones or you loose that info. That way the info is stored off phone for use.

I feel your pain - same thing happened to me. Just switched from S10+ to S24+. All google passwords came over, none of my Samsung passwords came over. Everything is in Google now.

@AlaskaGalApps which are truly secure will require you to log in when you transfer the apps to a new device.

To make the process easier, use a password manager such as Samsung Pass or 1Password. That way your passwords are on the new device for use when you do your initial login on those apps.

same problem with my S24 Ultra - had no end of issues trying to migrate settings from my old phone - one email account is still not working (MS say something to do with AI feature) However, none of my app passwords have transferred either. Samsung Pass on both phones and undertaken standard data transfer but no passwords - how do you 'force transfer'?

@Pablo888Are the passwords stored in Samsung Pass? If so, they should be available on the new device if you sign into the same Samsung account.
